BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The County's Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be improving sidewalks and ADA accessible pedestrian curb ramps, adding new bike lanes, and performing milling, resurfacing, and pavement marking work along Sheridan Street from US 27 to SW 196 Avenue in Pembroke Pines (see attached map). This surtax-funded project is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 2 and is expected to be completed by June 2027, barring weather or unforeseen conditions.
During construction, at least one of two travel lanes in each direction will be open to traffic at all times. Temporary single-lane closures will occur during off-peak hours. Sidewalk access will be minimally impacted, with pedestrian detours clearly marked.
Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division can be reached at (954) 357-6040. Project Manager Giovanny Bello can be reached at (954) 299-5016 or gbelloherrera@broward.org.
This project occurs in District 1, represented by Commissioner Nan H. Rich. Broward County appreciates your patience as we complete this necessary roadway maintenance project.
