Library's 25th StoryBook Festival Celebrates Alice in Wonderland

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library invites children and families to the free 25th Annual StoryBook Festival, from 10AM to 3:30PM, Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Southwest Regional Library, 16835 Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines, 33331, 954-357-6580. 

The theme for this year's iconic StoryBook Festival is: "Curiouser and Curiouser: In Celebration of Alice in Wonderland."

Geared toward children ages 10 and under, the festival provides a magical experience that encourages a love of reading and libraries through presentations by award-winning storytellers and literature-based performance groups. It is also an exciting way for the community to learn about Broward County Library's array of programs, services and resources for all ages.  

StoryBook Festival activities include:  

  • Big Book Giveaway to the first 1,000 children
  • Face painting, storytellers, stilt walkers, musicians
  • Indoor and outdoor performance/show stages
  • Swappin' Ground: Where children tell stories and hear storytellers
  • City of Pembroke Pines Art & Cultural Center student performers
  • Arts & crafts with City of Pembroke Pines Parks & Recreation 
  • Estimation Station and scavenger hunt
  • Fantasy Forest Tours featuring classic storybook characters 
  • Costume Parade: Kids encouraged to wear costumes and join the parade
  • Meet firefighters and tour fire truck 

Parking, admission, entertainment and activities are free; registration to attend the festival is requested.

Fantasy Forest tour tickets are also free and can be obtained on-site during event day only, while supplies last. The festival box office opens for morning tours at 10AM and afternoon tours at 12:30PM. For additional information, please email communityengagement@broward.org or call 954-357-6580.
