BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Administrator Monica Cepero has been appointed President of the Florida Association of County Managers (FACM) for the 2026-2027 term. This distinctive honor was made official recently during the association's annual meeting in Orlando.
FACM is a professional organization dedicated to strengthening local government through collaboration, education, and the exchange of best practices among Florida's county administrators. Serving all 67 counties within the state, FACM provides county leaders with a forum to solve common problems, enhancing critical resident services and helping counties operate more efficiently.
"On behalf of the County Commission, I congratulate Monica Cepero on her well-deserved election as President of the Florida Association of County Managers," said Broward County Mayor Mark D. Bogen. "This election is a testament to the statewide respect she has earned throughout her career, and I know her executive vision and collaborative spirit will serve the state well during her tenure."

Broward County Administrator Monica Cepero brings more than 35 years of state and local government management experience to her role. As Chief Executive Officer, Cepero oversees Broward County-the nation's 17th largest county, serving over 2 million residents with an $8.8 billion annual budget. Operating under the Board of County Commissioners, she directs a workforce of nearly 7,000 employees across 65+ agencies, including the world-class Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, and the award-winning Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.
