BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Animal Care, the County's official pet adoption and animal welfare agency, is once again partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation for its nationwide Empty the Shelters adoption event, waiving adoption fees now through Sunday, July 26, to help more pets find loving homes. The national campaign removes financial barriers to adoption while creating much-needed space in shelters so more homeless animals can receive care and a second chance. Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes are available for adoption. Every adopted pet is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going home. See available pets.
"Every adoption removes a barrier for another animal waiting for help," said Doug Brightwell, Broward County Animal Care Director. "Through our partnership with BISSELL Pet Foundation, we're making it easier for families to say 'yes' to adoption while creating much-needed space to care for more homeless pets. When you adopt, you're not just changing one animal's life-you make it possible for us to serve the next one, too."
Community members are encouraged to visit the shelter, meet the animals waiting for homes, and experience the life-changing impact of pet adoption firsthand.
