BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) announces the 2026 Broward & Beyond Business Conference (BBBC), a Service of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The conference theme "Businesses Are the Heart of Our Economy," will highlight the County's ongoing commitment to providing access to the resources, programs, and services that can help business owners and entrepreneurs to start and grow a business. The 9th annual event will include ABC-TV talk show host, entrepreneur, and master teacher Dr. Adolph "Doc" Brown III as keynote as well as other featured speakers, panel presentations, business matchmaking, procurement, and networking opportunities in the Exhibit Hall. Two-time Emmy® nominated journalist Constance Jones of NBC6-TV will serve as event host. Attendees can anticipate an announcement important to small businesses from Wells Fargo, conference Grand Sponsor, access to information and engagement activities, exclusive tours of the OMNI Fort Lauderdale Hotel as well as Port Everglades and Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) 25, and more. The conference will take place from 8AM to 4:30PM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center East Expansion in Fort Lauderdale. Registration is free and encouraged. "The Broward & Beyond Business Conference is one of the best events for businesses of all sizes because it provides yet another means of access to the free County and community partner resources, educational programs, and services important to the success of our businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents," said OESBD Director Maribel Feliciano. "The Broward County Board of County Commissioners provides innovative initiatives and programs in support of Broward-based businesses and residents through events like BBBC. Attendees will learn about the Broward Mobility Advancement Program (MAP Broward), government procurement and capital project opportunities, access to capital, film and television productions, and more."  

Local, regional, and national businesses, non-profits, and government agencies are encouraged to attend to learn and network with industry experts and peers. Event attendees will have access to exhibitors and vendors in the Exhibit Hall, informative panels and presentations about integrated marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), international trade, Foreign-Trade Zone 25, and more. There will also be interactive stations where businesses may obtain further assistance with Broward County certification and renewals, enrollment in the Film Lauderdale Production Directory, exclusive tours of the OMNI Fort Lauderdale Hotel and Port Everglades and FTZ 25, and more. 

Currently, over 1,500 participants have registered for the annual event that supports the goal of the Broward County Commission Board to ensure economic opportunities and a sustainable economy for our community.
