BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library will celebrate America's 250th birthday with 15+ TED talks exploring the evolution of democracy, from 11AM to 12:30PM, with discussion to follow from 12:30 to 2PM, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Main Library, 100 S Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
Main Library will host a livestream of TED Democracy Philadelphia: Founding Futures, a daylong symposium featuring 15+ original TED Talks focused on the future of democracy.
Streaming live from Philadelphia leading up to America's 250th birthday celebrations, this landmark event convenes bold thinkers and civic leaders to share ideas and solutions designed to inform and inspire.
Through a collaboration with Visit Philadelphia and the American Library Association, and sponsored by The Pew Charitable Trusts, libraries across the country are hosting simultaneous satellite livestream events - expanding access to these critical conversations and fostering local engagement nationwide.

The Main Library auditorium will be the site of livestream TED Democracy Philadelphia: Founding Futures, a symposium featuring 15+ new and original TED Talks. Following the livestream talks, attendees are invited to the first-floor community room for a discussion and light refreshments. (Separate registrations please.) Both sessions are free and open to the public.
