Allison Grubbs to Join Broward County Libraries as Assistant Director

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Allison Grubbs has been named the new Assistant Director for the Broward County Libraries Division.

Grubbs comes to the Broward County Libraries Division from Washington State where she led Public Services at the Timberland Regional Library, which has a jurisdiction of five counties.

She brings more than a decade of public library experience. In her most recent leadership role, she worked closely with staff, local officials and community stakeholders to develop new projects and services for the public. While at Timberland Regional Library, she provided leadership and direction for 27 libraries located across 7,000 square miles.

Grubbs earned her Masters of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University and completed her undergraduate studies at North Georgia College and State University.

“Ms. Grubbs’ arrival is eagerly anticipated. She is a welcome addition to public service leadership at Broward County Libraries,” said Kelvin Watson, Broward County Libraries Division Director. “Her experience with developing innovative services for the public and project management skills will make her a great asset to the team.”

She will manage public services offered at the 38 Broward County Libraries locations with a dedicated staff of over 500.
