Main Library Super Saturday Holiday Celebration to Take Place on Saturday, December 12, 2015

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Libraries Division invites you to the Holiday Celebration and grand finale of the re-launch year of the Broward County Main Library, located at 100 S Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

The celebration will include entertainment and activities for all ages, craft tables, holiday music, storytelling and more. All events are free and open to the public.

First floor Auditorium:
-Grupo Naidy de Colombia perform music of Afro-Colombian origin using instruments from the Pacific region such as marimba, cununos, drums and guazas - 10:30 to 11:30AM

Second floor:
-Museum of Discovery and Science Edible Snowmen craft - 10AM to 2PM                                       
-South Florida Amateur Astronomers Look to the Planets, outdoor on terrace - 10AM to 4PM                                       
-Friends of the Fort Lauderdale Libraries Book and Attic Fair - Noon to 3PM
-Caricatures by artist Wendy Reingold - Noon to 4PM
-Holiday card making  with artist Barbara Freiberg - 10:30AM to 1PM
-Storyteller Caren Neile presents Story Factory - 3 to 4PM

Third floor:
-Holiday tree
-Creation Station project: Make an Edible Craft - 10:30 to 11:30AM
-Broward Women's Choral Group presents "Songs for the Holidays" - 2 to 3PM

Sixth floor:
-The Wonderful World of Puppets presented by Stevens Puppets - 11:30AM to 12:30PM
-Holiday Paper Magic with origami artist Steve Vinik - 1 to 2PM
-Broward Art Guild Youth Art Competition Exhibit, gallery six - 10AM to 6PM                                       
-Back to School with the WPA Museum Extension Project, 1935 - 1943:  An Exhibit of Visual Teaching Aids, Bienes Museum - 10AM to 6PM
-Sample rock from the moon - 10AM to 6PM
