BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Construction will begin on Monday, February 9, 2015 on the Andrews Avenue and McNab Road Mast Arm Conversion Project in Pompano Beach.

The goal of the County's program is to better protect larger, main intersections against hurricane-force winds and storm-harden them against future events so regional traffic flow can be quickly restored after a storm.

Project Overview: 
Upgrading existing traffic signals at the intersection to mast arms.
Reconstructing curb and gutter, sidewalks, ADA upgrades and roadway.

When:
Start Date: February 9, 2015
Completion Date: April 2015
                     
Traffic:
Temporary lane closures will be necessary during construction.
 
Horsepower Electric will start construction to convert the existing traffic signal on Monday, February 9, 2015.  The construction should be complete in April 2015, barring unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

During construction, contractor personnel and inspection staff will work closely with residents and businesses in the construction zone to minimize impacts caused by the project.
