BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Binge watchers, rejoice! Libraries is now offering an innovative new device, the GoChip, that lets you stream hit TV shows to watch from a phone or other mobile device. The GoChip lets you take a full season of premiere TV shows such as Outlander, Breaking Bad and The Shield with you wherever you go. No more using up your data to watch your favorite programs, and you don't have to worry about slow Internet connections, re-buffering or error messages. You and your family/friends can also watch different episodes on eight different devices simultaneously.

The GoChip Beam is a small, rechargeable device, the size of a mini-flashlight, that holds an entire season of a television series and beams the content to personal devices without an Internet connection. Devices include PC and Mac laptops and iOS and Android mobile devices. You can now realize the "access anywhere" promise of the Internet that bandwith costs and geography have made difficult.

"Libraries are increasingly turning to streaming options to provide state-of-the-art services to our customers. The GoChip is an innovative solution that address needs such as portability and access anywhere and everywhere. It complements our existing collections and also helps us bridge the community's digital divide," said Kelvin Watson, Director of the Broward County Libraries.

Broward County Libraries is the first library in Florida, the first in the Southeast and one of the first 12 libraries nationwide currently offering the GoChip to customers.

You can check out a GoChip just as you would any other library materials. They can be checked out for seven days and you can renew twice, two days at a time, for a total of 11 days. Use your Broward County Library card to borrow a GoChip at the following library locations:
