BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The upper-level roadway (Departure Level) at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will close to vehicles and pedestrians from 9PM to 4AM. The closures will occur every other night from Tuesday, August 9th through Wednesday, October 5th.

The road closures will allow crews to lift and install the steel roofs on the four pedestrian bridges. The bridges connect the Palm Garage with Terminals 2, 3 and 4. If there is inclement weather or windy conditions, crews will delay the work, and the roadway closure will continue past Wednesday, October 5th.

The dates for the closures are listed below:

Closure days in August: 9, 11, 17, 22.

Closure days in September: 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30.

Closure days in October:  3, 5, 17, 19, 21

Closure days in November: 9, 14, 16, 30

Signs and personnel will redirect vehicles and pedestrians to the lower level roadway (Arrival Level).

Curbside Valet Parking on the upper-level roadway will close between 9PM and 4AM. Drop-off for Valet Parking will be on Level 1 in the Hibiscus Garage (middle garage). Signs will direct vehicles to the location. To pick-up a car from Valet, go to the Valet Parking station located just outside the Concourse exit in each Terminal. A valet attendant at the station will greet and assist customers.

For returning rental cars, the entrance to the Rental Car Center on the upper level will remain open during the closures.

At 4AM on each closure day, the work will stop, and the upper-level roadway and Curbside Valet Parking will reopen.
