HURRICANE IRMA ADVISORY #15

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - An additional Pet Friendly Shelter will open at 1 PM at  Everglades High School,17100 SW 48 Court, Miramar. However, any pet owner who was pre-registered at Millenium Middle School in Tamarac should still take their pet to that shelter. Pet owners are required to have their dog or cat in a crate or carrier, and show their rabies certificate. Please remember to pack an emergency supply kit with food, water, pet bowls, toys, cat litter and a pan. It's wise to take photos of your pet in case it gets lost. Pets will be located in a designated area of the shelter.

All other shelters remain open with the exception of Pompano Beach High School and Coral Glades High School which are filled to capacity. For a complete list of shelters, visit our website. As of 11 AM today, there were approximately 5,400 people in shelters.

All Broward County Waste Management residential and commercial customers will not have garbage, recycling, yard service or bulk collection service after 1PM on Friday, September 8th until further notice.
