BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Airport visitors can enjoy a new art exhibition presenting works by students attending Dillard Center for the Arts at Dillard High School. The exhibition is part of the airport's inaugural En Plane Air community art program. It is installed in the pre-security area, above the escalators in Terminal 2 at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), 100 Terminal Drive, Fort Lauderdale. The En Plane Air exhibitions will rotate on a regular basis.

The Broward County Aviation Department, in cooperation with Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program organized this exhibition to highlight the talents of Broward County children. "We are very pleased to offer these students the chance to display their immense talents before the travelers and public," said Mark Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation. "The beautiful prints are a great addition to the varied and large public art collection at FLL."

The exhibition features high-quality giclee prints of artworks in a variety of mediums. It is curated by Dillard High School teacher Mr. Celestin Joseph. An educator and practicing artist, with an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Joseph exhibits in Philadelphia and South Florida.

Dillard Center for the Arts (DCA) provides training in dance, music, theater, and visual arts, as well as an academic schedule. The school, established in 1907 is a magnet school for Emerging Computer Technology and Performing Arts. Students must demonstrate ability and interest in one of the four artistic areas and exhibit academic potential. Graduates of the magnet program go on to attend some of the top colleges and conservatory programs in the United States, including the Savannah College of Art & Design, Parsons The New School, Maryland Institute College of Art, Juilliard School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Columbia University.

As part of the Public Art & Design Program, FLL showcases 68 artworks throughout the airport facilities and grounds including photographs by world-renowned artists, video art, lighting displays, and artist-designed terrazzo floors.
