BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library (BCL) commemorates Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration honoring the official end of slavery in the United States. Enjoy free events all month long, including the legendary Blues & Sweet Potato Pie Festival. The 25th Annual Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival, a free BCL signature event held at Northwest Branch/Apollo Park, celebrates Juneteenth from 1 to 7PM on June 13 with a day of family fun that includes a sweet potato pie contest, arts & crafts, food vendors, performances and a live blues concert.
