Broward County Library Celebrates Juneteenth
  
Free celebration of liberty with special guests, performers and activities
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FLBroward County Library (BCL) commemorates Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration honoring the official end of slavery in the United States. Enjoy free events all month long, including the legendary Blues & Sweet Potato Pie Festival.

The 25th Annual Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival, a free BCL signature event held at Northwest Branch/Apollo Park, celebrates Juneteenth from 1 to 7PM on June 13 with a day of family fun that includes a sweet potato pie contest, arts & crafts, food vendors, performances and a live blues concert.
