- Leverage new opportunities and remain competitive -

Broward County, FL - The County is launching the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) Educational Campaign, a series of in-person outreach events designed to help businesses discover how the FTZ No. 25 program can reduce costs, accelerate growth, and improve global competitiveness. This series will start on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 10 AM to noon at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (3800 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, Florida 33311). Businesses will also receive information and access to additional economic development incentives and resources offered by federal, state, and local governments. Registration is available through Eventbrite.

The FTZ Educational Campaign will bring expert staff directly into Broward County's business community, providing free, on-site presentations that explain how companies can leverage FTZ benefits, such as:

  • Duty deferral, reduction, or elimination
  • Streamlined customs procedures
  • Enhanced supply chain flexibility
  • Improved cash flow and operational efficiency

The FTZ program is ideal for importers (e.g. manufacturers and distributors) seeking strategic tools to strengthen their international trade operations.  Businesses that may not be importing or exporting yet are also invited to attend to learn more.

"The Foreign-Trade Zone program represents a vital component of Broward County's economic development strategy," said Commissioner Hazelle P. Rogers. "Providing this information directly to our business community and cities helps ensure that businesses can leverage new opportunities, enhance their global competitiveness, and contribute to a stronger local economy."
