Animal Care Breaks Record During Clear the Shelter Event

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center set a new adoption record during the August 18th Clear the Shelter event. The fourth annual adoption drive, sponsored by NBC6 and Telemundo 51, resulted in more than 100 adoptions that day. In addition, more than 1,000 residents visited the shelter.

“We would like to thank the community for making a difference at this event. Because of the support of our residents, volunteers, fosters and rescue community, we are now well on our way to becoming a no-kill shelter,” said Lauralei Combs, Director, Broward County Animal Care and Adoption.
