BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Broward County Library now offers free digital tablets for library customers to check out and take home. The Alcatel A30 tablets are available at 21 libraries located throughout Broward County.

The tablets can be checked out for three months and may be renewed once for an additional three months. Customers must be 18 years old to borrow a tablet, and tablets must be returned at the location they were checked out.

“Familiarity with and access to technology is a crucial component of closing the digital divide in our community,” says Broward County Library Director Kelvin Watson. “The availability of digital tablets – for free and for anyone – helps level the economic and educational playing field in Broward County.”
