BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Free fun for the family at the 2018 Children's BookFest! Watch top-notch shows and performances, grab a free book, get hands-on with a make-it-and-take-it craft and kick off the 2018 Summer at Your Library program with the Florida Panthers!

This  year's BookFest will be held Saturday, May 19th from 10AM-3:30PM at Northwest Regional Library, 3151 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL  33065. The festival is free and open to the public.

The Children's BookFest is a also a great opportunity to learn more about the 2018 Summer Learning Program and how you can read, learn and win prizes all summer long!

Events at the Children's BookFest include:

-  Fushu Daiko Taiko Japanese Drummers

- Coral Springs Chinese Cultural Association Lion Dance Team

- Carrie Sue Ayvar – Storyteller, Cuentista

 - Music of the Andes

 - Indian Classical Dance

 - Arts & Craft Table

- Face Painting

- Free Book Giveaway – the first 1,000 children can pick up a FREE book courtesy of the Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital

-Meet Your Favorite Costumed Characters Including Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, Maisy Mouse and Bad Kitty

Children's BookFest is presented by and funded through the Broward Public Library Foundation with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital as presenting sponsor.  The Children’s BookFest is sponsored by the Children's Services Council and supported by Broward Family Life Magazine.
