BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -  Sunny Anderson, host of the Food Network's Cooking for Real and The Kitchen TV shows, will attend the South Florida Book Festival's "An Evening with the Stars" on Friday evening, July 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the  African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33311. 

Tickets for this event are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and include one autographed book from Sunny Anderson or other featured authors. This will be an evening of light jazz with food and wine courtesy of Whole Foods Market. An Evening with the Stars is a glamorous event, so dress to impress. To purchase tickets go to

After years of cooking for her music-industry friends, Anderson started catering while a DJ at New York City's HOT 97 and became the food and lifestyle editor of Hip-Hop Weekly. In addition to her hosting duties at the Food Network, she appears regularly on the Rachel Ray Show and Today, and is often in Food Network Magazine, Essence and People.
