BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -
Broward County Commissioner Lois Wexler has been named chair of the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition during the Coalition's meeting June 19.
Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, Inc. (BBHC) was created in 2011 and was selected by the Florida Department of Children and Families as Broward County’s managing entity for mental health and substance abuse services. The BBHC Board has contracted with Concordia Behavioral Health to provide support services related to BBHC's management of behavioral health services in Broward County.
"I look forward to working with the members of the BBHC Board to identify how we can best provide a system of care for the residents of our community," Wexler said.
Wexler, who has served as vice chair of BBHC this past year, has spent many years focusing on solutions to the challenges faced by those suffering from mental health issues and substance abuse.
