BROWARD COUNTY, Fla.Broward County Library invites the public to take part in the Big Library Read, a program in which libraries worldwide offer a single eBook, A Pedigree to Die For, a murder mystery  by Laurien Berenson, to library customers without holds or wait lists.

From June 3-18, anyone with a valid
Broward County Library card can borrow the eBook  A Pedigree to Die For  by Laurien Berenson from the Library's Overdrive Digital Collection. Generally, Broward County Library has limited copies of eBooks available, but the Big Library Read allows an unlimited number of downloads of  A Pedigree to Die For  by Laurien Berenson so customers do not need to place a hold or wait for an available copy. This year, over 75,000 libraries in 10 countries from five continents are participating. Readers are invited to join the book discussion on Twitter using #BigLibrary Read.

About A Pedigree to Die For: When her uncle, a kennel owner, dies of an apparent heart attack, Melanie Travis is talked into investigating and learns that the only clue is a missing pedigreed poodle, a situation that has Melanie hounding Connecticut's elite canine competitions.

If you're new to eBooks and downloading, Broward County Library's Adult Summer R.E.A.D.ing (Reading, Exploring, Art, Discovery) Program, which begins June 7,  2014, will offer free how-to classes in downloading free eBooks, music, magazines and films at the following dates/locations:
