download it here.

The  Summer R.E.A.Ding Program kicks off on June 7, 2014 at 33
Broward County Library locations, and this year the emphasis is on science and literacy. The 2014 themes are "Fizz, Boom, Read" for children and tweens and "Spark a Reaction" for teens. From June 7 through August 2, libraries countywide will offer a summer filled with great events for children and teens, including amazing science-based puppet shows and experiments, music and theatre performances, engineering activities, arts & crafts, book clubs and story times.

Summer reading programs are beneficial to young people, as they help retain reading and comprehension skills over the summer and provide quality learning activities that are fun and appealing. According to the School Library Journal, students who take part in their local library’s summer reading program significantly improve their reading skills. Summer reading programs are also an antidote for learning loss.

To get started in the  Summer R.E.A.Ding Program, visit your local participating library on or after June 7. Pick up your game piece and get started reading to earn rewards from your library and a chance to win great prizes. Many of libraries will be hosting Summer R.E.A.Ding Program kick-off events with entertainment, refreshments and Summer R.E.A.Ding Program sign-ups. The Summer R.E.A.Ding Program is sponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation, Miami Dolphins Foundation, Broward Family Life, CBS Miami and WPBT Channel 2.
