WHAT: BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Start your day with a leisurely Lazy Morning Kayak Tour around Deerfield Island Park. The tour, which includes a picnic of coffee and doughnuts, runs two hours and is appropriate for all levels of paddlers. Participants must be at least 8 years of age, and ages 8 to 16 must be accompanied in the kayak by an adult. A life jacket is required for each person on the vessel. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite breakfast treats.

Kayaks depart from and return to Sullivan Park in Deerfield Beach (Riverview Road at the western end of the Intracoastal Waterway bridge on Hillsboro Boulevard)
WHEN: Sunday, May 18, 9-11 a.m.
WHO: For ages 8 and up.
HOW: Fees: $15 if you bring your own kayak or paddleboard; $30 if you rent a kayak (rental includes a single or double kayak, paddles, and U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets). Space is limited and preregistration is required.

Founded in February 1956 and accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies, Broward County Parks and Recreation Division manages almost 6,500 acres, encompassing nearly 50 regional parks and nature centers, neighborhood parks, and natural areas at various stages of development.
