BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - All active military personnel visiting Broward County for Fleet Week Port Everglades, April 28 – May 5, will be extended free bus service on Broward County Transit (BCT) when they board in uniform or show their military identification.

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution on March 18, 2014, to approve the free bus service to show appreciation to the military during their stay. BCT has provided naval organizers with route schedules, maps and travel information to Broward County’s attractions, shopping centers and cultural sites.

Fleet Week 2014, presented by Humana Healthcare Military Services in partnership with Broward Navy Days, Inc., salutes the thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard men and women who arrive at Port Everglades in several U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships.

For information on Fleet Week 2014, visit Fleet Week Port Everglades.

For BCT information, call the customer service center at 954-357-8400. Port Everglades is served by Bus route 40.
