BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - Following the recent, highly successful “Take Me to the Mardi Gras” event, Broward County Library presents the second of its exciting series of Destination Friday after-hours events for ages 21 and over. Join us for a roaring good time on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 6:30 p.m at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.
Experience the diversity of South Africa through food and drink (while supplies last), plus live entertainment and dancing. For added fun, wear your safari attire!
Tickets are $10 and can be ordered through Eventbrite. Guests may also pay at the door by cash or credit card. Two round-trip tickets to South Africa, a $3,000 value (courtesy of South African Airways*) and other prizes will be raffled. Prizes include two nights accommodation at Sun International’s Lost City Palace, wines from South African Wines USA.com and books (courtesy of Barnes and Noble) which include Nelson Mandela: A Life in Photographs; Desmond Tutu's Let There Be Light and DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: South Africa. Prize winners must be present to win.
