BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – From February 17 through March 5, 2014, Broward County Libraries once again invites the community to take part in the Big Library Read, in which libraries worldwide offer a simultaneous-use title to their eBook collection to customers, so there are no holds or wait lists for the eBook. The Big Library Read is the worldwide digital version of a local book club and an opportunity to generate more interest in the Library's eBook collection.
This year’s title is Keys to the Kitchen: The Essential Reference for Becoming a More Accomplished, Adventurous Cook by Food Network and Cooking Channel star Aida Mollenkamp. The free title will be available in eBook for Kindle, OverDrive Read, and EPUB formats and as an audiobook to Broward County Library card holders for simultaneous use. There are no wait lists for the title, and it will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, so readers don’t have to worry about returning a book. Access the book easily at http://www.overdrive.com/big-library-read/.
Aida Mollenkamp is a native Californian, food expert, and author on a mission to make every day delicious. She studied at the Cornell Hotel School and Le Cordon Bleu Paris before joining CHOW.com where she worked behind the scenes as Food Editor. Eventually, she moved to television where she hosted her Food Network show, Ask Aida, and later the Cooking Channel show, FoodCrafters.
Keys to the Kitchen — a modern manual filled with over 300 creative recipes — is Mollenkamp's first cookbook. Aida currently hosts In The Pantry, a weekly web series on Yahoo! Shine in which she shares kitchen tips and tricks. She continues to share her food inspiration and adventures on her site, Pairs Well with Food.
