BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Broward County Records, Taxes and Treasury Division will open their offices at 1 p.m. on President’s Day, Monday, February 17. The offices will be closed to the public during that morning to provide staff training and development.

“We anticipate that walk-in and phone traffic will be light on President’s Day since it is a federal holiday and many government offices in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties will be closed to observe the holiday,” said Tom Kennedy, director of Broward County Records, Taxes and Treasury Division. “Training opportunities for our staff are an important component in providing the highest level of service possible to the people that we serve.”

The morning closure will affect the following Broward County Records, Taxes and Treasury offices:

• Recording Office, Passport Application Services, Room 114, Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

• Tourist Development Tax Office, Room 119A, Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

• Tax Office, A100, Governmental Center Annex, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

• Motor Vehicle Registration (Auto Tag Office), 1800 N.W. 66 Avenue, Suite 101, Plantation. Private auto tag agencies are not affected by the February 17 morning closure.
