BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - Local entrepreneurs and business owners are invited to a free “Business Development” workshop on Saturday, January 18, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the Miramar Branch Library's Multi-Purpose Room, 2050 Civic Center Place, in Miramar.
Highlighting the topic “New County and City Contracting Opportunities,” this interactive workshop will feature representatives from agencies including the City of Miramar and Broward County Public Works Department, Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. New Fiscal Year 2014 contract opportunities in construction, engineering, contract-related services and commodities will be discussed.
This event marks the first of the 12-part monthly Business Development Workshop series designed to provide tips and tools to assist in sustaining, expanding and improving local businesses. The goal of the series is to position small businesses to take advantage of local opportunities to grow their reach beyond Broward County.
The workshop series is open to the public, and pre-registration is not required. Individuals requiring auxiliary accommodations in order to participate in a workshop should make a request at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled workshop.
