BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – JetBlue Airways new daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, Peru, will have its inaugural flight on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
This will be FLL’s second carrier to offer regularly scheduled service to Lima. Spirit Airlines has offered once weekly service since June 2007. JetBlue will have daily service to accommodate the estimated 25,000 Peruvian residents living in Broward County.
This new daily service will also provide the citizens of Lima with the opportunity to visit Greater Fort Lauderdale and experience our beautiful beaches and all the cultural amenities the region has to offer.
JetBlue is FLL’s largest carrier with more than 70 departures on peak days to 26 nonstop cities, and now with the new service to Lima, eight international destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
In addition to JetBlue's nonstop service to South Florida, Lima customers will be able to conveniently connect onwards from Fort Lauderdale to other destinations in the United States and the Caribbean including: Boston, MA; New York (JFK, LaGuardia and White Plains); Newark, NJ; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Washington, DC (Reagan National).
JetBlue's flights to Lima will be operated with its Airbus A320 fleet.
