BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - Broward County Animal Care and Adoption will host a fun and treat-filled “Howl-o-ween FunFest” celebration on Saturday, October 26, from noon to 3 p.m., at the Fort Lauderdale Adoption Center, 1870 S.W. 39 Street.
This howling good time will include something for everyone. Visitors will be able to don costumes and take a special Halloween photo for a $15 donation, with each photo entered into a “Best Costume” contest. Treats will be available for children and special vouchers from Pet Supermarket for supplies and free pet food will also be given with each adopted dog or cat.
"Halloween offers the perfect opportunity to have some fun, but most importantly to find permanent homes for as many pets as we can,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator, Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division. “We hope that people will visit us, have some fun, and save the life of a homeless dog or cat."
The Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and homeless pets. Each year, the Adoption Center provides another chance for thousands of dogs and cats hoping for a new home. Please prevent the birth of unwanted animals and have your pet spayed or neutered. Financial assistance is available to income qualifying individuals who want to have their pets sterilized.
