It’s so nice that it’s happening twice!
Broward County Animal Care and Adoption will again partner with Spirit Airlines to encourage residents to “get on board” to help save lives. Simply adopt a dog or cat from Animal Care during the month of October and your name will be placed in a special drawing to receive two round-trip airline vouchers from Spirit Airlines.
The promotion applies to all dogs and cats located at Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center, 1870 S.W. 39 Street, Fort Lauderdale. Adoptions include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County pet registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.
The winning name will be drawn in early November.
“We are thrilled to support Broward County Animal Care and Adoption in the great work they do for our community and we look forward to matching many dogs and cats in need with loving homes,” said Michael Pewther, who oversees Spirit Airlines’ corporate giving programs.
“We are very excited to once again partner with Spirit Airlines to help find our dogs and cats a permanent home,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator. “When we first ran the promotion in June, more than 460 pets were adopted. This time, we hope that even more dogs and cats will be adopted so that they will have the love of a new family during the upcoming holiday season.”
The Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and homeless pets. Each year, the Adoption Center provides another chance for thousands of dogs and cats hoping for a new home. Please prevent the birth of unwanted animals and have your pet spayed or neutered. Financial assistance is available to income qualifying individuals who want to have their pets sterilized.
