Broward County Animal Care and Adoption has partnered with Spirit Airlines to encourage residents to “get on board” to help save lives. Simply adopt a dog or cat from Broward County Animal Care during the month of June and your name will be placed in a special drawing to receive two airline vouchers from Spirit Airlines.
The special applies to all dogs and cats located at both County adoption centers, 1870 S.W. 39 St. in Fort Lauderdale, and 3100 N.W. 19 Terrace in Pompano Beach. Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County pet registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.
“We are thrilled to support Broward County Animal Care and Adoption in the great work they do for our community and we look forward to matching many dogs and cats in need with loving homes,” said Michael Pewther, who oversees Spirit Airlines’ corporate giving programs.
“We are very excited to partner with Spirit Airlines to help find our dogs and cats a permanent home,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator. “We hope anyone considering adding a pet to their family this month, will visit us and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to save a life.”
Broward County’s Animal Care and Adoption is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and surrendered animals as well as the successful adoption of homeless pets. The agency also coordinates the registration of dogs and cats and provides rabies vaccinations to encourage a healthier pet population for our community.
