Broward County Animal Care and Adoption has partnered with Pet Supermarket to make "March Madness," a time normally associated with basketball, an extra special time for animals. Simply adopt a dog or cat during the month of March and receive a $10 coupon good toward pet supply purchases at any Pet Supermarket store. In addition, adopters will be able to spin a special “basketball themed” wheel to determine their adoption fee.

The special applies to all dogs and cats located at both County Adoption Centers, 1870 S.W. 39 St. in
Fort Lauderdale, and 3100 N.W. 19 Terrace in Pompano Beach. Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County pet registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.

“We are very excited to partner with Pet Supermarket to help find our dogs and cats a home,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator. “We hope anyone considering adding a pet to their family this month, will visit us and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to save a life.”

Broward County’s Animal Care and Adoption is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and surrendered animals as well as the successful adoption of homeless pets. The agency also coordinates the registration of dogs and cats and provides rabies vaccinations to encourage a healthier pet population.
