WHAT: The Broward County Parks and Recreation Division continues the Natural Area Exploration Series, for ages 3 and up, with a program on Sunday, February 10, from 2 to 3 p.m., at Highlands Scrub Natural Area in Pompano Beach. The series consists of eight one-hour, naturalist-led hikes at locations throughout central and northern Broward County. The fee is $5 per person per hike; a Series Pass is available for $25, allowing you to attend as many hikes as you like.
Future programs in the series will take place at Hillsboro Pineland Natural Area in Coconut Creek (February 24), Tall Cypress Natural Area in Coral Springs (March 10), Woodmont Natural Area in Tamarac (March 24), and Deerfield Island Park in Deerfield Beach (April 14). The series concludes where it began in early January, at Easterlin Park in Oakland Park, on April 28.
