Broward County Animal Care and Adoption makes ringing in the new year extra special for adopters and homeless pets by offering a special $20.13 adoption fee beginning Wednesday, January 2, through Thursday, January 31.

The special applies to all dogs and cats located at both County Adoption Centers, 1870 S.W. 39 St. in Fort Lauderdale, and 3100 N.W. 19 Terrace in Pompano Beach. Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County pet registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.

“Our primary goal is finding loving homes for the wonderful dogs and cats in our care”, said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator. “We hope anyone considering adding a pet to their family this year will make a resolution to adopt a homeless pet and truly save a life.”

Broward County’s Animal Care and Adoption is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and surrendered animals as well as the successful adoption of homeless pets. The agency also coordinates the registration of dogs and cats and provides rabies vaccinations to encourage a healthier pet population.
