Highway and Bridge Maintenance
The Southwest Fourth Avenue/Seventh Avenue (Marshall Point) Drawbridge over the New River will close for critical repair beginning midnight Friday, November 30, and will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic for 24 hours.
The following traffic restrictions will be in place beginning midnight, Friday, November 30.
- Southbound Southwest Seventh Avenue will be open to local traffic only between Broward Boulevard and West Las Olas Boulevard. Southwest Seventh Avenue, in both directions, will be closed to all vehicular and passenger traffic south of West Las Olas Boulevard.
A detour will be in place directing traffic to Andrews Avenue via Broward Boulevard and Southwest Sixth Street.
- Northbound Southwest Fourth Avenue will be open to local traffic only north of Southwest Sixth Street. Southwest Fourth Avenue, in both directions, will be closed to all vehicular and passenger traffic north of the ramp to Southwest Fourth Avenue (Esplanade).
Vessel traffic on the New River should not be impacted because the bridge will be stowed in the upright position.
