Broward County will host three training workshops on the electronic processing of the Development and Environmental Review Approval using the new ePermits website, a centralized source of online information on permits, licenses and approvals.
The Development and Environmental Review Approval is the first ePermit option available that will go exclusively electronic as of January 2013, which will allow customers to access their application anytime, upload design plans and receive electronic approvals.
The training course will cover how to use the ePermits system, prepare electronic plans and documents for submittal, and requirements for signing and sealing electronic documents.
Training is free and will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Broward County Governmental Center, Room 422, 115. S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, on the following dates:
• Monday, December 3, for building professionals (building officials, plan reviewers and administrative staff)
• Wednesday, December 5, for permit expeditors, contractors and project owners
• Friday, December 7, for design professionals (architects, engineers and surveyors)
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. RSVP to ePermits@broward.org with your name, title, company name, email address and telephone number. For more information about ePermits, visit broward.org/epermits or call 954-519-1204.
