Get to know the authors in your area at the monthly Florida Author Showcase Coffeehouse Series. The first event of the series will be held on December 4, 2012 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at West Regional Library, 8601 W. Broward Boulevard, Plantation, FL 33324 (954-382-5860). The series continues at West Regional Library on February 12, 2013; March 20, 2013; April 16, 2013; and May 14, 2013. All author events begin at 2 p.m.

Each month, four different authors will present their book and talk about their work for approximately 10-15 minutes, with the discussion followed by a question-and-answer session. The series has a casual feel, with authors and attendees sitting together around a table, relaxing over coffee, beverages and light refreshments courtesy of the Friends of West Regional Library. The event is free and open to the public, and participating authors will also have display tables set up on the perimeter of the room to showcase their books.

The Florida Author Showcase Coffeehouse Series on December 4 will feature the following authors:
  • Sandra Balzo, Triple Shot
  • Jeremiah Healy, A Stain Upon the Robe (under the pseudonym Terry Devane)
  • Lee Ravine, Riding Solo
  • Madelyn Lorber, The Eyes Have It.
