Broward County Aviation Department and the Office of Economic and Small Business Development are hosting an informational networking event to highlight upcoming food and beverage concession opportunities at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The event will take place on Thursday, December 13, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale.
In addition to concession opportunities, "Meet & Greet" attendees will learn details about the Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) program and certification process and how to register as a vendor with the Broward County Purchasing Division. Attendees will also hear presentations from Broward County staff on “Insurance and Bonding Requirements” and “Enterprise Zone Benefits.” The event will conclude with “Making Connections,” a networking session with major vendors.
Companies interested in doing business with the Broward County Aviation Department are encouraged to attend this free event and RSVP by Friday, December 7, to Vonetta R. Williams.
Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Parking is free; however attendees must present a parking ticket to receive a voucher. NOTE: Visitors who attend the Convention Center event will be asked to show government-issued photo identification (i.e. driver's license, passport, etc.) at the Port's security checkpoint in order to proceed to the parking garage area.
