Over the next few weeks, millions of people will take part in events across the country to celebrate, learn about, and encourage efforts in recycling. Broward County Solid Waste and Recycling Services and Partner Cities, invite you to participate in local events that range from a chance to get free admission* for the kids to the Museum of Discovery and Science, to free disposal of old TVs and other outdated electronics at a special recycling event at Vista View Park that includes free park admission.**
“We are very proud to commemorate America Recycles Day and to have the opportunity to spread the word about its importance. Recycling is the easiest thing we can all do to improve our communities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, slow climate change, and conserve natural resources. Collectively, through events like these, we aim to make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year,” said Odette Reza-Brown, Public Education Program manager for Broward County Solid Waste and Recycling Services.
While America Recycles Day is officially on November 15, Broward County will extend the celebration throughout the month with an exciting calendar of events.
