Broward County Libraries Division Announces Free Workshops for College-Bound Students

Beginning in mid-November, Broward County Libraries Division will present a series of five free SAT and ACT workshops for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. The multiple-session workshops, presented by Alberto Howe, director of Affordable College Solutions, include practice tests and strategies, essay writing and financial aid/scholarship information.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the first hour of the first and last sessions. The workshops are sponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation and the Harry T. Mangurian, Jr. Foundation. To register, please call the library location where the workshop is held.

Students can also take online practice tests for both the ACT and the SAT on the Broward County Library website. These can be accessed by anyone with a Broward County Library card. Additionally, Broward County Library offers numerous books and other resources focused on test preparation, strategies and financial aid.
