Broward County Libraries Division Announces Temporary Closing of Northwest Regional Library's Second Floor Due to Carpet Installation

The second floor of Northwest Regional Library, located at 3151 University Dr., Coral Springs, FL 33065 (954-341-3900) will be closed to the public beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 due to the installation of new carpeting. During this time, the second floor will be unavailable to the public and there will be no access to materials on that floor.

It is anticipated that installation will be completed by Monday, September 3, 2012 and that the library will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. All Broward County Library locations will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2012 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Signs will be posted at library entrances to notify customers of the closing. During this time, customers are encouraged to visit other nearby Broward County Library locations including:


Margate Catharine Young Branch Library, 5810 Park Dr., Margate, FL 33063 (954-968-3800) Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.; Closed Friday and Sunday.

North Lauderdale Saraniero Branch Library, 6901 Kimberly Blvd., North Lauderdale, FL 33068 (954-968-3840) Hours: Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Closed Sunday.

North Regional/Broward College Library, 1100 Coconut Creek Blvd., Coconut Creek, FL 33066 (954-201-2600) Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Customers are also encouraged to visit the Broward County Library website,
www.broward.org/library for 24/7 access to library services and resources including placing holds and renewing materials, downloading free eBooks and music, free online classes and research, checking the status of your account and more. Customers can also download the free BCL WoW app and access library services anytime and anywhere from their smart phone.
