The Lauderhill Towne Centre Branch Library, located at 6399 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, FL 33313 (954-497-1630), will be closed to the public beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 due to the installation of new carpeting in the facility. It is anticipated that installation will be completed by Sunday, September 2, 2012 and that the library will reopen to the public at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Lauderhill Towne Centre Branch, like all Broward County Library locations, will be closed on Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day.
Signs will be posted at library entrances to notify customers of the closing. During this time, customers are encouraged to visit other nearby Broward County Library locations including:
Lauderdale Lakes Branch Library/Educational and Cultural Center, 3580 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33311 (954-357-8650) Hours: Monday and Tuesday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Closed Friday and Sunday.
West Regional Library, 8601 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation, FL 33324 (954-382-5860) Hours: Monday and Tuesday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. ;Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Customers are also encouraged to visit the Broward County Library website, www.broward.org/library to find information on other library locations; to check out, place holds on and renew materials; check the status of their library account; and gain access to the library catalog, specialized databases, event calendars, and more. Customers can also download the free BCL WoW app to browse and download eBooks and audiobooks, see what eBooks and audiobooks are currently available, then download and read the book directly from the BCL WoW app.
