Pavement repair at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will result in the closure of Runway 9L-27R (North Runway) for up to 53.5 hours from Tuesday, September 18 at 12:01 a.m. through Thursday, September 20 at 5:30 a.m. This pavement repair requires the North Runway to remain closed to allow the asphalt to cool and cure.
During the closure period, the airport will use Runway 13-31 (Crosswind Runway). Residents living in northeast Dania Beach and southwest Fort Lauderdale may notice an increase in aircraft operations over their communities.
The North Runway will also close for routine maintenance from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m., on Monday, September 17 and from Friday, September 21 to Monday, September 24. The closures will allow routine maintenance work on the runway including rubber removal, safety area work, approach light repairs and runway painting. During the closure period, the airport will use the Crosswind Runway.

Monday, September 17, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m.
Tuesday, September 18, from 12:01 a.m. until Thursday, September 20 at 5:30 a.m.
Friday, September 21, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m.
Saturday, September 22, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m.
Sunday, September 23, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m.
Monday, September 24, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m.
Please note the following:
- Arriving and departing flights will use the Runway 13-31 (Crosswind Runway) for 53.5 hours from Tuesday, September 18 from 12:01 a.m. until Thursday, September 20 at 5:30 a.m.
- Arriving and departing flights will use the Crosswind Runway from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, September 17; Friday, September 21, Saturday, September 22; Sunday, September 23; and Monday, September 24.
