“The critical importance and indicator of the future success of any child is the importance of the library, reading and early learning successes,” says Broward County Library Director Bob Cannon. “To have free and easy access to a wide range of library resources and experiences, now even including online databases, eBooks, test help and tutoring assistance, is crucial to a children’s self-esteem and academic achievement. We’d like to see every child in Broward County have his or her own library card.”
Getting a Broward County Library card is easy. Apply Saturday at the Museum, online or in person at any Broward County Library. You’ll need photo identification and address verification. There is no charge for cards for Broward County residents, and a free courtesy card, good for one year, is available for non-residents living and working in Broward County.
