The Pembroke Pines Branch Library/Walter C. Young Resource Center, located at 955 N.W. 129 Ave., Pembroke Pines, FL 33028 (954-437-2635), will be closed on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 4 p.m. and will reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012. The temporary closure is required in order to perform necessary repairs and maintenance.

Library customers are encouraged to visit other nearby Broward Library locations including:


  • Miramar Branch Library & Education Center, 2050 Civic Center Place, Miramar, FL 33025(954-437-1806)
    Hours: Mon-Wed: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thurs-Sat: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed Sundays
  • Southwest Regional Library, 16835 Sheridan St., Pembroke Pines, FL 33331 (954-538-9996)
    Hours: Mon-Wed: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thurs-Sun: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Customers are also encouraged to visit the Broward County Library website, www.broward.org/library, to find information on other library locations; to check out, place holds on and renew materials; check the status of their library account; and gain access to the library catalog, specialized databases, event calendars, and more. Customers can also download the free BCL WoW app to browse and download eBooks and audiobooks, see what eBooks and audiobooks are currently available, then download and read the book directly from the BCL WoW app.
