Put your body in motion at the library this summer as we celebrate National Dance Day, held annually on the third Saturday in July. Created in 2010 by Nigel Lythgoe, the judge/executive producer of the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance, National Dance Day promotes dance education and physical fitness for all and will be officially celebrated on July 28.
Young or old, you can try out hip-hop, jazz, salsa or line dancing – all for free at your Broward County Library. Go around the world and watch a Hawaiian dance performance, learn Latin American folk dancing or learn about African beats. There are classes, performances, drum-and-dance programs and even Zumba for kids!
