Broward County Library’s free app, BCL WoW – Broward County Library Without Walls, has launched exciting new features that make it better than ever. Customers can now use the app to browse and download eMedia such as eBooks and audiobooks. See what eBooks and audiobooks are currently available from Overdrive, including the latest bestsellers and hottest titles, and then download and read the book directly from the BCL WoW app. Additionally, the app's catalog also now includes eBooks, so your favorite downloadable reads will now show up when you browse.

Also new for BCL WoW – Broward County Library Without Walls is “BookLook.” See an item at a bookstore or in a friend’s collection that you like? Simply scan the ISBN code of any items such as a book, CD or DVD, and the app will tell you whether Broward County Library has a copy. If it does, you can place a hold right from the app and pick it up from whatever Broward County Library location is convenient for you.

Customers can still use the BCL WoW app to access their Broward County Library account, making it easy and simple to place holds, renew items, find Broward County Library locations and discover exciting and fun library programs.

For current BCL WoW mobile app users, there is no need to download the app again as the new features will automatically appear. If you have not yet downloaded BCL WoW – Broward County Library Without Walls, download it in either Android or Apple formats.

Since its launch in December 2011, BCL WoW - Broward County Library Without Walls mobile app has continuously increased its visits, steadily climbing from 1,790 in December 2011 to 4,500 in April 2012 (the most recent statistics available). The introduction of the mobile app brings yet another level of service to Broward County Library customers, as they are now able to access and utilize many of the libraries' services and resources anytime and anywhere.
 
The award-winning Broward County Libraries Division, founded in 1974, is the ninth largest library system in the nation by population served and one of the busiest, with more than 9 million walk-in customers visiting its 37 locations annually. The library has more than 3.4 million items and 2,000 computers for public use and offers hundreds of events and programs to meet the needs of the Broward County's diverse community. The library continues its strong emphasis on literacy, after-school programs and electronic access. In addition to our comprehensive Web site, www.broward.org/library, which provides information about library activities, links to online catalogs, reference information and databases, customers can visit BCL WoW – Broward County Library Without Walls – for free eBooks, music, audiobooks, apps and more.
