Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief will host a District 8 Community Forum on Thursday, April 12, from 4:30  to 6:30 p.m., at the City of Miramar Commission Chamber, 2300 Civic Center Place in Miramar.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • County programs to help you set goals and achieve them
  • Information about financial assistance
  • How to do business with Broward County
  • I-95 Express update, bus routes and new bus shelters

Time will also be set aside to answer all community questions and attendees will have a chance to mingle and network with community organizations and business representatives.

“I’m committed to keeping District 8 residents informed and up to date on County services, new projects planned for our community and the variety of programs the County offers that many don’t know about, such as life skills training, computer assistance or registering your business in order to qualify for government contracts,” said Commissioner Sharief.

This is the first of several Community Forums to be held throughout County Commission District 8. County department heads and community partners will be on hand to provide valuable information. Commissioner Sharief will also be available to answer questions and address community concerns.

District 8 includes the cities of Pembroke Pines, Pembroke Park, Northwest Hallandale Beach, Miramar and West Park.
