The Broward Water Partnership is ringing in the New Year with water savings. In just 90 days, more than 350 Broward County residents have been approved for rebates of up to $100 toward the purchase of an approved water efficient toilet offered through the Broward Water Partnership Program.
The Broward Water Partnership, comprised of Broward County and 16 municipalities and water utilities, is offering rebates to qualified homeowners through its Conservation Pays program on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
By swapping out an old, water-guzzling toilet that uses 1.6 gallons per flush or more, the approved homeowners are expected to jointly save more than 1.4 million gallons of water per year. If you own a single family home, townhouse or condo and live in one of the participating program areas, you may be eligible for up to two rebates of up to $100 each on a new, WaterSense® certified High Efficiency Toilet that uses 1.28 gallons of water per flush or less.
Don’t need a new toilet? Residents may also qualify to receive free low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators. Pre-rinse spray valves are available for business owners.
Conserving water in our community is important, especially during the dry season months of November through April. Installing water-efficient products will help ensure that Broward County has enough water now and for the future.
This year, make your New Year’s Resolution to save water, save money and save the environment! Visit ConservationPays.com to apply today.
